I don't think my guy would go for that haha. He works so hard with long hours and he loves relaxing in front of tv or Xbox for a few hours when he can. Something we do though, is no tv during the week as a general rule. And def only limited Internet maybe to play on jibjab.com of y8.com. My 3 yr old uses star fall.

I'm sure this is only the beginning. But I'm up for the challenge. :)Rebecca Doloreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09958571203581969663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285674513324939997.post-64995293824536056632011-12-07T08:29:36.569-08:002011-12-07T08:29:36.569-08:00@untained hair mom- that's awesome. If I'm in the car I'm either talking my man''s ear off, yelling at the kids ;) or just trying to find a song I know to sing along to. I usually stick with oldies bc they remind me of my mom. I had a good thing going when I had my iPod full of music, she loved everything. But then I washed it in the washing machine! I've never replaced it. I think I'll work on that. :)Rebecca Doloreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09958571203581969663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285674513324939997.post-89221907174350917262011-12-07T08:09:58.487-08:002011-12-07T08:09:58.487-08:00I don't have kids, but I think you have a good...I don't have kids, but I think you have a good approach. If I did have kids, I too would want them to explore their own interests, but also want to make sure they kept their mind open to what those interests might be and not just what mainstream TV wants those interests to be.Michelle Maskalyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00402413191667312163noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285674513324939997.post-50892510801525457042011-12-07T08:01:14.861-08:002011-12-07T08:01:14.861-08:00I'd disconnect the cable and internet, if I di...I'd disconnect the cable and internet, if I didn't need them so much :), to keep my daughter away from some meaningless stuff that floats around and evaporates. My daughter (6) prefers the music that she hears the most, which is classical and progressive rock. She would pick the Mars Volta, Radiohead or the Beatles over Keisha or Justin Bieber any day.UntrainedHairMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00284156522491700862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2285674513324939997.post-30562349865463285062011-12-06T17:16:39.070-08:002011-12-06T17:16:39.070-08:00I'm a mom of 4 and I completely understand.
